Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 2026
NairaVest ("we", "our", "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose and protect your personal information when you use nairavest.com and related services (the "Platform"). By creating an account you consent to the practices described here.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly — name, email, phone number, Nigerian bank account details, date of birth, and KYC documents (BVN, NIN, ID card, proof of address). We also collect wallet addresses, transaction hashes, deposit and withdrawal history, device data, IP address, browser type and pages visited on the Platform.
2. How We Use Your Information
Your information is used to open and secure your account, verify your identity under Nigerian AML/CFT rules, convert crypto deposits to Naira at live rates, credit your NGN wallet, process investments and monthly payouts, prevent fraud, respond to support requests and send transactional emails such as payout notifications and security alerts.
3. Legal Basis for Processing
We process personal data on the basis of the contract we have with you, our legal obligations under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023, the CBN and SEC regulations we comply with, our legitimate interest in preventing fraud, and your consent for optional communications such as promotional emails.
4. Sharing Your Information
We share information with regulated third parties strictly to run the Platform: KYC/identity verification providers, banking partners for NGN payouts, blockchain analytics providers, cloud hosting and email delivery vendors, and law enforcement or regulators when legally required. We do not sell your personal data.
5. Data Retention
We retain account, transaction and KYC records for a minimum of five (5) years after account closure to comply with Nigerian financial regulations. Support conversations and marketing preferences are retained only as long as necessary for the purpose collected.
6. Data Security
We use bank-grade encryption in transit and at rest, role-based access control, two-factor authentication, row-level security on all investor data, and continuous monitoring. Despite our safeguards, no system is 100% secure — please protect your password and enable 2FA.
7. Your Rights
Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 you may request access to your data, correction of inaccurate data, deletion where legally permitted, restriction of processing, portability, and withdrawal of consent for marketing. Email support@nairavest.com to exercise these rights.
8. Cookies & Tracking
We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in, functional cookies to remember your preferences, and analytics cookies to improve the Platform. You can accept or reject non-essential cookies from the cookie banner or your browser settings.
9. International Transfers
Some of our vendors process data outside Nigeria. Where this happens we ensure adequate safeguards — standard contractual clauses, adequacy decisions or your explicit consent — in line with the NDPA 2023.
10. Children
The Platform is intended for users 18 years and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn we have, we will delete it immediately.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified by email and posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
